Healthy Home Cooked Dishes: Okra & Shrimp Gumbo

INGREDIENTS

4 - 12oz pkgs Cut Okra

1 - 15oz Can Tomato Sauce

2 - tbsp Minced Garlic

1 - large Onion

1 ½ - lbs. Shrimp


DIRECTIONS

Sauté shrimp and onion until okra is free from the slime it creates. Add tomato sauce, garlic and seasonings, simmer for about 5 – 6 minutes. Add shrimp, cover, and let simmer for 10 minutes, or until shrimp turns pink. Serve over steamed rice.
