Join us as we speak with the first black secret service agent assigned to the White House detail, Abraham Bolden.
Join us as we speak with the first black secret service agent assigned to the White House detail, Abraham Bolden. In 1961, President John F. Kennedy appointed Bolden as part of the Secret Service White House detail "in an attempt to integrate the previously all-white Secret Service detail." After expressing concern about segregation practices, the behavior of fellow agents, and the lack of communication in the agency, Mr. Bolden was framed and imprisoned. Mr. Bolden is the author of The Echo from Dealey Plaza. Today, Abraham Bolden is seeking a pardon due to innocence.
Join us for this amazing historical conversation.
