Dr. Angelyn Anderson is a preservationist, consultant, and community strategist. Her area of interest is historic and cultural preservation in communities of color. Dr. Anderson discusses gentrification of Chicago and the need to preserve the culture of African Americans.  During this webisode, Dr. Anderson talks about her presentation titled Moving Targets: Lives and Legacies of Emmett Till, Trayvon Martin, and Mike Brown. She discusses the generational trauma of the killing of black men and women in this country and its impact on our consciousness. Lastly, she provides insight into the healing process as a country.
