Track Description: Due to the climate and the increased call to address racial disparities within law enforcement and their communities and provide a racially inclusive environment to include hiring, retention, and promotion, the Race, Police, and the Public workshop track provides a global historical perspective of racial tension inside and outside of law enforcement. This track's purpose is to build competencies within law enforcement on how to engage the community or racial equity and provide the tools to create, enhance, and maintain departmental culture for hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
